Your organization has a story to tell, but are you struggling to put that story into words? Join us for a workshop where you’ll have the opportunity to refine your story – and frame your impact.

In Framing Your Impact, Inspire PR Group’s Diane Hurd will demonstrate how you can turn the wonderful work of your organization into stories that can help build and affirm your organization and its brand across all your communications channels.

This session will help attendees with:
• Defining the storytelling process and understanding why values matter in your storytelling
• Using the right words/messaging and tailoring them for your audience
• Identifying your brand attributes – your unique differentiators
• Building your organization’s brand in the digital universe
• Identifying what’s newsworthy and earned media best practices
• Interactive exercises to help you build your elevator speech and craft your organization’s story

About our presenter:
Diane Hurd currently serves as senior vice president and partner at Inspire. As one of the founding members of the firm, she has been integral to Inspire’s development, shaping internal business operations, enhancing client services, and supporting the growth of the team.

With more than 16 years of experience, Diane leads account teams serving major U.S. food companies and restaurants, state and national agriculture organizations, schools, corporations and nonprofits. Her results-oriented approach and deep experience driving strategic media relations, advertising and marketing, and issues management initiatives serves Inspire’s clients well. Diane is a trusted crisis communications advisor and regularly speaks at conferences across the country on a variety of topics – from crisis preparedness to best practices for effectively communicating your brand’s story.

Prior to joining Inspire, Diane led several account teams and award-winning projects at PR and communications agencies in Columbus, Ohio, focusing on sectors including healthcare, social services, financial and banking, food and agriculture, and hospitality and restaurants.

Diane is passionate about giving back and recently served as president for the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Central Ohio Chapter, serves on the Board of Directors for Columbus Speech & Hearing, is a proud member of the 2020 Leadership Columbus class and is a Certified Tourism Ambassador.

Diane earned her master’s degree in business administration from Franklin University and a bachelor's degree in public relations and organizational communication with a specialization in marketing from Capital University. When she isn't chasing after her three boys, Diane enjoys volunteering with local community organizations and finding her next marathon to run.
