While a primary role of the Licking County Foundation is to grow endowed charitable assets to use on behalf of the entire community in perpetuity, sometimes there is a short-term need for funding to carry out a special program or project that will be of lasting benefit to Licking County. Licking County Foundation will establish a Project Fund to hold contributions raised for a specific purpose until disbursements are made to cover the costs of the project, as long as the project has a specific and short time frame, is clearly charitable in nature, and falls within LCF’s mission. Examples of Project Funds include:

  • Don Edwards Park Improvement Fund – Upgrade and maintenance of baseball fields
  • Friends of Sullivan Community Projects Fund  – To promote awareness and foster appreciation of the Sullivan Building
  • A Home for Central Ohio Youth Ballet Fund – To procure, renovate and maintain a facility
  • Horns Hill Park Improvement Fund – To upgrade downhill mountain bike trails
  • Licking County CARES Act Nonprofit Relief Fund – To support nonprofits battling through economic challenges due to the pandemic and state mandates
  • Licking County COVID-19 Relief Fund – To provide grant resources to community-based nonprofit organizations operating in Licking County that are directly supporting residents whose basic needs are going unmet due to COVID-19
  • Lou and Gib Reese Ice Arena Expansion Fund – To expand the Lou and Gib Reese Ice Arena in Newark
  • Northridge Athletic Boosters Facilities Improvement Fund – To renovate the athletic facilities of Northridge Local School District
  • Pickleball Facilities Fund – To construct pickleball courts on Sharon Valley Road for the community to enjoy
  • On the Old Home Stretch  – Restoration of the interior and annex building of the Louis Sullivan Building of Newark
