After more than a decade of hard work, vision, and steadfast support from donors like you, the iconic Louis Sullivan Building of Newark is ready to begin a bold new chapter.
Exactly 110 years to the day after its original opening, this national treasure will reopen as the new home of Explore Licking County, a vibrant tourism hub and public space for all.
Before we open the doors to the public, we’re thrilled to invite our most dedicated supporters to an exclusive celebration and first look inside the restored building.

Historic Newark Arcade (just steps from the Sullivan Building)
Begin your experience at the beautifully restored Newark Arcade, where you’ll enjoy:
- Light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments
- Live music from members of the Land of Legend Barbershop Chorus
- A chance to add your wishes to a special time capsule
- Mingling and celebration with other donors, volunteers, and community leaders
From there, guests will be escorted in small groups every 20 minutes to tour the restored Louis Sullivan Building — giving you a first glimpse before it opens to the public the next day.
