Who is eligible for a Tibbie Leslie Travel Grant?

Teachers at any public or parochial school in Licking County, and Newark High School graduating seniors who are planning a teaching career are eligible. Former recipients may apply for grants; however, priority will be given to teachers who have not received a grant within the previous two years. Tibbie Leslie Travel Grants cannot be used by teachers accompanying their students on a class or school trip, or teachers attending a school in a foreign country.

What is the Tibbie Leslie Travel Grant?

The Tibbie Leslie Travel Grant provides stipends of up to $2,000 each for travel outside the continental United States. The grants will be awarded to teachers and Newark High School graduating seniors who plan foreign travel to broaden their experience and knowledge in their particular field of interest. In the event available funds are not expended, larger grants may be awarded. After travel has been completed, a written report detailing the trip must be submitted to the Licking County Foundation.
