A gift of cash, securities or other property will create a separate named fund. Donors choose the type of fund that best match their interests and select a name, typically their own or the name of a person they wish to honor.

The Foundation is organized to administer the broadest possible range of charitable investments:

Outright gifts of cash

Gifts of publicly traded securities or mutual funds

Under certain conditions, gifts of real estate
Assignment of life insurance policies
Charitable Remainder Trusts
Charitable Lead Trusts
Bequests through a will
Transfer of private foundation assets
Under certain conditions, Charitable Gift Annuity

Every donor has different charitable intent.  It is best to contact the foundation and discuss the type of fund and kind of gift you would like to make in order to establish a fund.  The Foundation would also be pleased to discuss with donors how any gift could result in considerable income and estate tax savings.

The Licking County Foundation offers donors a wide selection of funds.  Each fund is unique and designed to meet specific philanthropic goals of the donor.  The Foundation offers traditional funds such as scholarships, designated agency, and field of interest funds.  LCF is also positioned to work with donors desiring to suggest different charitable recipients each year through a donor advised fund.

Some visionary donors understand that the needs of Licking County change over time.  These special donors set up funds that allow the governing committee to meet the emerging needs in our community.

Since every fund is different, potential donors are encouraged to contact the Foundation's executive director as they contemplate a fund.  The Foundation will work with every donor to find the right type of fund for the donor's philanthropic intent.
