Cybersecurity Awareness 101 Seminar Offered to Area Nonprofits

Is your organization prepared with an effective cybersecurity framework to address growing risks? Area nonprofit organizations are invited to join the Licking County Foundation, the United Way of Licking County and Maloney + Novotny LLC as we examine the critical importance of cybersecurity on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at TrueCore Federal Credit Union Community Room (215 Deo Drive, Newark).

Dale A. Dresch, IT Audit Manager at Maloney + Novotny LLC, will address the variety of risks introduced into operating systems as organizations grow their integration and reliance on information technology. He will focus on cybersecurity as it relates to nonprofit organizations, and the workshop’s topics will cover:
• What are the threats?
• How do they get into our systems?
• How can you prevent it?
• What to do if you have been breached?

About the Licking County Foundation…Investing in Our Home
The Licking County Foundation helps people leave a lasting legacy to the community. We are many causes and generous donors with one common desire: to improve the lives of the people in our own backyard. Established over 60 years ago, the Foundation has grown to more than $90 million in assets through generations of gifts made by compassionate donors. Investing in our home has changed the lives of countless people by providing resources to a neighbor in need, helping a student achieve their dream of college, enhancing the beauty of our parks, supplying books to encourage an early love of reading, and much more.
