County Foundation Accepting 2010
Scholarship Applications; Deadline
for area students is March 3, 2010
NEWARK, Ohio
(January 4, 2010) –Since 1968,
Licking County Foundation has
awarded thousands of scholarships to
area college-bound students to
pursue their academic dreams.
The Foundation is now accepting
applications from area high school,
college and non-traditional students
seeking 2010 scholarship awards.
Most of these scholarships are
limited to Licking County residents,
but there are some offered to
residents in neighboring counties.

The deadline for submitting
scholarship applications is
Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 6:00 pm.
In 2009,
Licking County Foundation awarded
scholarships totaling over $159,000
to 153 area high school seniors and
college students who are now
enrolled in 75 different colleges
across the country.
LICKING
COUNTY FOUNDATION AWARDS OVER
$159,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS
153 area students will
attend 55 colleges in the fall
(May 28, 2009)
– Licking County Foundation recently
awarded scholarships totaling over
$159,000 to 153 area high school
seniors and college students from 37
scholarship funds established by
generous donors who have made an
investment in the future of Licking
County students. These
students will attend 55 different
colleges this fall. The
scholarship awards, ranging from
$500 to $2,500, are in recognition
of each recipient’s achievements and
their commitment to higher
education. Scholarship winners
were chosen from a pool of 326
applicants by the Foundation’s
volunteer Scholarship Review
Committee.

OUTSTANDING EDUCATORS
2009 Leaders for
Learning Awards were presented
in area schools
(April 2009) – Some of the
community’s very best educators
were recognized for inspiring
future generations of citizens
with the Licking County
Foundation’s annual Leaders for
Learning Award. Thirteen
area teachers were surprised in
their classrooms recently by
representatives of the Licking
County Foundation who presented
them with an art-glass apple
symbolizing the knowledge and
inspiration they impart to their
students and the community’s
appreciation for their efforts.
