RECENT GRANT AWARDS
The Governing Committee of
Licking County Foundation approved
$194,000 in five grants to local
nonprofit organizations in the
fields of arts, culture, health and
human services for the first quarter
of 2008. The following grants
were given to organizations that
applied for this year's first cycle
of grants:
- Licking
County United Way:
$59,000 for hiring a
facilitator to help partnering
organizations address the
behavioral needs of children and
families.
- The
Midland Theatre:
$20,000 for programs for
young people and families
- The
Village Network:
$15,000 for the purchase of
a minivan to transport at-risk
foster children and families

Weathervane Playhouse:
$50,000 for The Next
Stage Capital Campaign to
provide an enhanced comfort and
quality experience.
- The Works:
Ohio Center for History, Art &
Technology:
$50,000 for the
developmenet and construction of
the ME Lab Exhibition.
